Joe Herndon is a bass singer and a member of the legendary R&B group, The Temptations. He joined the group in 1998, becoming the first new member in over two decades, after the death of founding member Melvin Franklin. Herndon's powerful bass voice has been a key part of the Temptations' signature harmonies.
Before joining The Temptations, Herndon worked as a session musician, touring and recording with various artists, including Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, and Michael Bolton. He also performed as a member of the vocal group, The Platters, from 1991 to 1995.
Herndon has remained a member of The Temptations for over two decades, and has performed on several of the group's albums, including "Phoenix Rising" and "Ear-Resistable". He continues to tour with the group, keeping the legacy of The Temptations alive for new generations of fans to enjoy.
